Eric M. Staggs joined the firm in February of 2019. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2013. Mr. Staggs served as a public defender in both Richland and Beaufort Counties before joining the Firm. As an assistant public defender he represented clients in both Magistrate and General Sessions Court including those charged with felonies. Mr. Staggs is also death penalty certified in the State of South Carolina. Eric has recently become a partner at the Firm. Eric is married to Leigh (Bilodeau) Staggs, and they have two daughters.
